When setting up a SYSLOG client, you first define the IP address to which the SYSLOG server is to send the messages. Do this in the LANconfig configuration by clicking on SYSLOG pane click on SYSLOG servers, and then click Add or Edit. Set the IP address and optionally specify a different source IP address. To do this, select which of the internal LANCOM sources are to send messages to this SYSLOG client. You can further restrict the volume of messages by selecting certain priorities, for example only alarm and error messages.
