Specifies the time in seconds for which an IPv6 address is "Preferred". The client also uses this lifetime for its generated IPv6 address. If the lifetime of the prefix has expired, the client no longer uses the corresponding IPv6 address. Is the "preferred lifetime" of an address expires, it will be marked as "deprecated". This address is then used only by already active connections until those connections end. Expired addresses are no longer available for new connections.
